Central refrigeration supply for Landshut Hospital
A central refrigeration supply was implemented for the large-scale kitchen of Klinikum Landshut. The system supplies standard refrigeration, freezer areas as well as shock freezers and rapid chillers via a centrally controlled system with visualisation and secure remote access.
Central refrigeration supply for Landshut Hospital: For the central large-scale kitchen of Klinikum Landshut, a powerful Chiller plant built. Normal cooling is provided via a chilled brine system, provided by propane chillers is supplied. For freezer areas, Shock freezer and Rapid chiller subcritical CO₂ chillers as satellites.
Planning and implementation: The planning was carried out as an integral W+M planning with coordinated sizing of all Refrigeration, brine and distribution components. This allowed the system to be implemented as a centrally coordinated supply system.
Via the chilled brine system, ten central cold stores and over 30 cooling points reliably supplied.
Technical features at a glance: A key feature of the system is the full redundancy of all pumps. This keeps operations secure even in the event of partial failures.
The dynamic operation flexibly adapts output to the current demand of the kitchen and storage areas.
Control and remote access: A central Control system with Visualisation and Remote access enables transparent and safe plant operation. Secure remote monitoring and remote control support rapid responses during operation.
Design: The plant room was Indoor and outdoor areas realised and meets particularly high requirements for the Noise protection.
