Hosting
This website is hosted by an external service provider (host). The personal data collected on this website is stored on the host’s servers. This may include, in particular, IP addresses, contact enquiries, meta and communication data, as well as other data generated via a website.
Our web host is:
Hetzner Online GmbH
Industriestr. 25
91710 Gunzenhausen
Germany
The use of the hosting provider is for the purpose of fulfilling our contractual obligations towards our potential and existing customers (Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR) and in the interests of ensuring the secure, fast and efficient provision of our online services by a professional provider (Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR). The servers are located in Germany. We have entered into a data processing agreement (DPA) with the hosting provider in accordance with Article 28 of the GDPR.
Your rights
You have the right at any time to obtain, free of charge, information about the source, recipients and purpose of your stored personal data. You also have the right to have this data rectified, restricted, erased or its processing restricted, as well as the right to data portability. You may withdraw any consent you have given at any time with effect for the future; the lawfulness of the processing carried out up to the point of withdrawal remains unaffected. You may contact us at any time at the address given above regarding this matter or any other questions relating to data protection. Furthermore, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the relevant supervisory authority. The competent authority is the State Data Protection Commissioner of the federal state in which our company is based.
SSL or TLS encryption
This website uses SSL or TLS encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential information, such as enquiries you send to us as the website operator. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the fact that the address bar in your browser changes from ‘http://’ to ‘https://’ and by the padlock icon in your browser bar. When SSL or TLS encryption is enabled, the data you send to us cannot be read by third parties.
Cookies and Tracking
This website deliberately does not use cookies or tracking. No analytics, audience measurement or marketing tools are used; no profiling takes place; and no cookies are set for analytics or advertising purposes. A cookie banner is therefore not required.
Server log files
The provider of this website (our hosting provider) automatically collects and stores information in what are known as server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:
- Browser type and browser version
- operating system used
- Referrer URL
- Hostname of the connecting computer
- Time of the server request
- IP address
This data is not combined with other data sources. The legal basis for data processing is Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in ensuring that its website functions without technical faults and in optimising it – to this end, the server log files must be collected.
Contact and enquiry form
If you send us an enquiry via a form on this website (e.g. a contact or project enquiry) , the information you provide in the enquiry form – including the contact details you have provided there – will be processed by us or by our contracted service providers (see ‘Email dispatch’) for the purpose of handling your enquiry and in the event of any follow-up questions. We will not pass on this data without your consent.
The processing of this data is carried out on the basis of Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR, provided that your enquiry relates to the performance of a contract or is necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, the processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective handling of enquiries addressed to us (Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR) or on your consent (Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR), provided that this has been sought. You may withdraw any consent you have given at any time.
The data you enter in the form will remain with us until you ask us to delete it, withdraw your consent to its storage, or the purpose for storing the data no longer applies (e.g. once your enquiry has been dealt with). Mandatory legal provisions – in particular retention periods – remain unaffected.
Applications
If you apply to us via an application form or by email, we will process the application data you provide (e.g. contact and communication details, application documents, cover letter) for the purpose of conducting the recruitment process. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR (initiation of an employment relationship) in conjunction with Section 26 of the BDSG. If no employment relationship is established, the application data will be deleted once the process has been completed, provided that there are no statutory retention obligations or other legitimate interests (e.g. obligations to provide evidence) that prevent this.
Email dispatch (data processing on behalf of a client)
To ensure the reliable delivery of messages received via our forms (e.g. enquiry and application notifications), we use the email service provider Resend:
Resend, Inc.
San Francisco, CA
USA
The data entered in the form is transmitted to Resend for the purpose of delivering the email and is processed there. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure and reliable email delivery (Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR) or Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR, insofar as the message serves to initiate a contract. We have a data processing agreement with Resend in accordance with Article 28 of the GDPR. As Resend may also process data in the USA, the transfer is safeguarded by appropriate safeguards in accordance with Article 44 et seq. of the GDPR (in particular the EU Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses).
Locally hosted fonts
This website uses only fonts stored locally on our server to ensure consistent font display. When you access the pages, no connection is established with third-party servers (e.g. Google Fonts); no data is transferred to third parties for this purpose.
External links and social media profiles
This website only contains links to our profiles on social media platforms (including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube) and to a location search on Google Maps. These are simply links – no plugins, ‘Like’ buttons, maps or videos from the providers mentioned are embedded directly into this website. A connection to these providers’ servers and any data transfer only takes place once you actively click on the relevant link and access the external site. We have no influence over the nature or scope of the data processed there; the privacy policies of the respective providers apply.
Objection to marketing emails
We hereby object to the use of contact details published in accordance with the legal requirement to provide an imprint for the purpose of sending unsolicited advertising and information material. The operators of this website expressly reserve the right to take legal action in the event of unsolicited advertising material being sent, for example via spam emails.
Protection of minors
Children and persons under the age of 18 should not provide us with any personal data without the consent of their parents or legal guardians. We do not request, collect or pass on any personal data from children to third parties.
