Project description

In Amsterdam, in the Overhoeks district and close to the water, a modern building complex with two towers and a gross floor area of approx. 106,000 m2 above and below ground is being built.
The “Y-Towers” comprise a residential tower and a hotel tower with restaurants, conference rooms and offices.
The investment volume is around 460 million euros
The hotel tower will include a 4-star congress hotel of the Maritim Hotels brand with 579 rooms and will be the tallest building in the city of Amsterdam with 33 storeys.
At the same time, one of the largest event hotels in Europe is being built. The two largest event halls alone have a capacity of 2,142 and 1,035 people respectively.
We at KSI were commissioned to install the refrigeration system for the cold rooms and canteen kitchens. These extend over three floors and contain over 30 cold rooms, as Maritim has planned several (inter)national specialty restaurants.
In addition, a separate cooling circuit will be installed for the SKY Bar on the 33rd floor.
We are realizing this ambitious project by building a refrigeration system using natural refrigerants.
The construction period is approx. 18 months.
We have already been on site several times and are setting up our construction site this week.
